6/1/04- Ok folks, this is where we REALLY need our online Army to show their power of presence. We just got accepted onto the Clear Channel Communication's New Music Network. Click on the red link I just gave you to take you directly to our artist page. We need you to rate us 5 stars and listen to the song on the website. The more people we get to listen to the songs on this site and the better our rating, the better our chances are that we will get played nationally across any or all of Clear Channels' FM radio stations during PRIME TIME  and this includes local radio station  Rock 100.5 the KATT. Thank you for your support.

5/27/04- Well as of today, our online campaign to rise to the top of the charts at Soundclick.com has proved to be quite a positive experience. We first entered into the main Rock category at the bottom of the charts somewhere around position #6,000 and within the last week and YOUR gracious participation, we have literally rocketed up to position #119 in the overall Rock category with position #23 in the rock sub-genre chart! Your one listen CAN and WILL make all the difference, so PLEASE keep visiting the soundclick site every day for the rest of your lives and listen to our song! The even better news is that under our sub-genre category, we have shot up the charts from position #105 to #23 now! OH yeah, baby!  Keep on clicking and get us at least a top40 in the main charts and we'll probably die happy men! No, seriously, though, this is just the beginning and this will serve to help us when we get signed up to the New Music Network, so thank you everyone for your participation.

5/20/04- Good day to you. I setup a band page at www.soundclick.com. Soundclick offers "indie" bands like our's a chance to expose our music to masses of new people over the internet and if y'all would kindly mosey on over there and listen to at least the first minute of the Spookie Jar song I posted (Under the Music section of the sub-site) and vote it HOT, (if you already have an account) it registers 1 click per person/per day and helps us rise closer to the top of the charts every day you listen and/or vote. This is one of your many interactive chances I'll give our listeners to make a positive difference in your one of your favorite band's fate and we need it. The closer we get to the top of the charts, the more people we can turn on to Spookie Jar especially if we rise near the top 50 in our sub-genre. We're already at position 186 from 500 since I set it up and I haven't even unleashed  our clutch of Spookie Jar web-crawlers on the site yet. You *MAY* have to sign up for an account at Soundclick to hear our full Spookie Jar song but Soundclick will NOT sell your email address to SPAMMERS at least as far as I can tell after signing up and watching closely over my inbox, they don't do that.

I'm also diligently trying to set up a site at Clear Channel's New Music Network and we'll definitely need your support there because if we can actually rise to the top of the charts there, we will have a "coal from hell's" chance to have Spookie Jar played all over Clear Channel's FM radio stations all across the nation. Unfortunately, their site is either experiencing technical difficulties or they're not accepting new bands as I have followed all the rules to post Spookie Jar but they haven't listed us yet. Keep checking back for more 411.

I'm still surprised to see that we're getting ALOT of "stumblers" on our website who are looking for "Lynrd Skynrd's Biography". A stumbler is a term I kinda coined while studying the statistics of this site and who comes here searching for "what" from "which" search engine. At any rate, I personally define a stumbler as someone searching over the internet for specific information but get side-tracked onto our site accidentally through the search engines arbitrarily matching the end user's search terms against the collective of words that accidentally matches from all the word I have on our site. Unfortunately, we do not have Lynrd Skynrd's Biography but if you are searching and to make you feel that your search isn't in vain , THIS PLACE DOES! lol.

5/14/04- So far, the beginning is off to an awesome start! We've sold a considerably solid number of CD's in a short amount of time so far and responses back from people after listening to the CD have been nothing short of truly inspiring to all of us in the band! Thanks to those of you who are listening. We are humbled, yet empowered at the same time. I recently updated the website with newer, high quality-only audio clips ripped straight from the final CD if you want to get a "teaser" of what all the buzz is about. If the clips are too short, I apologize but then again, getting a CD would be the perfect cure for that little problem.  Also, on the Audio Sampler page as well as the home page is the front cover of our debut Homespun CD. We have a lot of good, solid support now but we always need folks all over the US to join in our musical endeavor. Don't forget to check out the Spookie Jar Store (Merchandise) for some stylish threads to display your support this summer for Spookie Jar with pride.

5/5/04- It's FINALLY here! Day one. The beginning. The Spookie Jar "Homespun" CD is officially finished and now currently available through any of us band members for the time being. We have 1,000 of these puppies ready to go! We will hopefully post up links here real soon where you can obtain your copy through a secure online retailer as well but for the time, you have to get one from us in person or at one of our shows upcoming soon. We are currently lining up shows for the summer of 2004 so keep an eye out for Spookie Jar to come to your favorite live music venue.

I hate to be all business so I want to  say on behalf of the band, thank you everyone with all of our hearts for believing in us, lending your ears, taking your time to see us play live, visiting the website, reading the news gibberish and spreading the word because of course, no success can come to Spookie Jar without your support, enthusiasm and word of mouth to get the music of Spookie Jar to others. We love what we do with a passion and hopefully, you'll grow to as well. I know I've made so damn many false alarms and set the CD release date back with every successive update here that I was cracking myself up when reading back through from the beginning of this news section. Apparantly, we've had a makeshift "blog" here all along before blogs got trendy and then passe.  There's some funny sh*t in there if you haven't read this from the beginning espescially if you know any of us personally. I'm really nothing quite like the drunkard funboy I have portrayed myself to be (at least all the time anyway) but talking about our mundane day jobs, dramas and tragedies just doesn't make for very entertaining reading ;P

We had an inquiry about where one could acquire a Spookie Jar T-shirt and other kewl Spookie Jar threads to wear and I totally forgot that I setup a little official Spookie Jar web store a long time back at Cafepress.com or now in the Merchandise page. Hopefully, we'll get around to finding a source for more economical clothing lines but the current products available right now are of top-shelf quality and you will definitely get what you pay for.

I will be adding the new logo designs and give this site somewhat of a makeover soon to meld the style of this site to compliment the new CD....so pop this site in your favorites, keep checking back regularly for updates and thanks for coming to the Spookie Jar website if you already do.

4/22/2004:  Apologies to all for the lack of updates to this site. Unfortunately nothing was really new or worth updating until now. We're still together and now stronger than ever.

Spookie Jar bassist Mickedemus just recently got the CD to the mastering labs at New Jersey based Disc Makers and our first 1,000 copies of Spookie Jar Homespun LP are in full production as this is being typed. We as a band are totally psyched and fired up after looking at the absolutely talented artwork Disc Maker's art staff created for us. Last we've heard, the discs are at the "replication" process then finally shipped to us, so check back here for important updates and hopefully links to where you can either obtain Spookie Jar's debut CD Homespun online through Amazon.com and/or CD Baby or at any shows we plan on performing in the near future. This is the materialization of 5 years of careful preparation, musical passion, technical perseverance, drama, tragedy, nose-grinding hard work, hope, extreme ideals, blood, sweat, tears and dreams all wrapped into a piece of audio and visual artwork that we believe any music lover could grow to appreciate for years to come and this is only the beginning...

2/26/03: Don't use chainsaws in bed. Trust me on this one, people! Also, Do not attempt to stop chain with your hands or genitals. This is a public service announcement we must post care of our co-sponsors-The National Responsible Chainsaw Use Oversight Board.

I would like to thank the US CIA for being the leading visitors to the Spookie Jar website. What, you didn't think I could see you? I'm watching YOU too. I'm telling you, I was just having some drunk fun with what you call an "attempted online bank robbery"! Sending a .jpg attachments of a 9mm gun with "This is a stickup" in the subject line sent to an online bank does not constitute "attempted robbery"! Gee, some people just can't take a joke!

I added a poll right under the audio clip links in our Audio Sampler page, so please participate in the poll. You will be redirected to a third party polling site and you may leave additional comments with your vote if you wish.

Leave a message on our message board for Christ's sake! I don't care if you ask us to go duck huntin' or tell us not to quit our day jobs (I'll remove it if I don't like it anyway) but PLEASE leave your comments! That's why I took the time to put a message board up at some requests.

I feel obliged at least to update the news section every month or so with some meaningless drivel until we have more than printed lyrics to sell or a case of beer to auction off at the 3AM after-show parties to recoup our C-130 air-lift transportation contract expenses. I think we should start using U-haul for out 70 mile journey shows but hey we can still ACT like we're big time, right?  I haven't been able to keep up on updating this site much with all the chicken drama and naive good Samaritan-isms I participate in. I don't have any real news for you guys except we are still together and working on re-recording some material we just could not fix. We tried duct tape and plastic sheeting at the recommendation of the Department of Homeland Security, but that just didn't "cut the mustard". What the hell are you supposed to use to cut mustard anyway? On that note, the "chainsaw in bed" theory *almost* worked for some inspiration, but that proved to be more hazardous than conducive of positive result.  Sacrificing quality for time's sake just won't cut it with us. Only the best for our die hard fans! Trust me, you will NOT be disappointed. We're gonna put out a CD come hell or high water.

I'd like to congratulate the winners of Teddy's Battle of the Bands  on 2/22/03 but I was so drunk, I couldn't remember who they were! So whoever you are- Congratulations! I actually came to see Axolotls and Adam's Fault but we apparently showed up too late ;.(

Since we're in the "down-time" or more accurately, an "outside distraction" period right now, I don't have issue at all with helping promote my other musician crony's bands via editorial on this new section or participating in other quick little side projects. It would be nice if the sentiment were equally reciprocated in editorial more than simple link exchange, however. Step up, suckahs!

Here is a fun little internet recording/collaboration side project I have been participating in with called Cooper Vane. It is really two other guys named Joe and Brian from Topeka, KS and I've laid down some drum tracks to 3 tracks of their material without ever meeting them face to face. We have done everything over the net using multi-track recording software called N-track Studio and the .mp3 samples they have at the mp3.com site are the versions of songs with electronic drums and are not me but keep an eye out on this guy's project as it sounded very fun and I promised him I'd pull a few strings if he ever gets a band together and comes down to the OKC area.

12/17/02- We're still kickin it. We got a set of Hyperprism DirectX plug-ins for us to use on our recording. This is technical stuff, but I'll outline it for you anyway. We're now applying new sounds to our recording right now with this plug-in set, so there's going to be even more delay on the CD release. It will be well worth it because we will be using the same sets of audio tools that Nine Inch Nails, White Zombie and Filter have used on their recorded material. These plug-ins should make our recording stand out much better as well as separate the men from the boys.

Keep checking back with the site here and I'll make sure that in the very near future, we get some more audio clips or snippets of our newly mixed material.

Please excuse us for being such perfectionists, but it's all of our independent money that has been funding this and our time, so we just want to be able to go "Hell yeah" when we listen to our recording-so we'll put the CD out when we're damn good and ready. We have learned so much in the last two years, that we are already looking forward to recording new material as soon as the new year begins and the usual holiday bustle is over. We are tentatively looking now at March for a possible CD release and after working our new remixes, we are confident you will crap your pants if you have already heard some of our previously recorded material. Our second CD recording should not take near as long as our first as we know what mistakes to avoid and we also finally know what the hell we're doing!

We will make a huge promotional push this next year (2003) to break out into the local music scene and make ALOT of noise. We have also been working on newer, more driving material and we have been pushing the boundaries of our musicianship. I will start an email list here soon and let you people give us your email addresses so that we may send you a "concert alert" whenever we play in OKC.

9/18/02- I have updated the website once again. I have decided to go with a Brave Net message board system as it is infinitely free (to my understanding) until I decide to pay for extra services. Not only that, but it is a much faster and simpler interface that is also utilized by many other bands and popular websites. Please check it out and leave a message for us.

Apparently, I got my lines crossed with the other members of the band and I was under the pretense that we were sending out our final mixed version of our CD to post production either last week or this week. What had happened , in fact, was that our material was taken to a recording engineer for a professional "second opinion" and possible suggestions to maximize the sound quality. We are currently applying some techniques to our material that we feel will give it that extra "oomph".

9/9/02-  I was on vacation last month to Kentucky, so my month has been all thrown out of wack. I'll try to cover as much in as few words as possible. well our CD has been sent to Discmakers for post production and we are all starting to breathe a sigh of relief. The material sounds light years better than the older clips we have up on the site- so please don't judge us solely by the quality of those clips.

After our CD is released, we will have our CD available for sale over a professional, safe and secure distribution program we will be participating in through DiscMakers with Amazon.com. Our CD will be available globally for secure online purchase through Amazon's website 24/7/365 and I will post that link as soon as it becomes available to us.

I'm waiting for a "press-ready" master copy to come in so I will make the remixed clips and songs available ASAP.

I have posted a new link to an EZBoard message-board system that can be accessed by clicking HERE. This is a fast-serving-no-"pop-up" system that allows our loyal users/fans/passersby to "donate" points, or credits towards our account to help defray the costs. Why don't our cheap asses pay for it ourselves, you ask? Well because we're cheap asses. Just kidding. Not only is it a message-board for Spookie Jar, but we also want to make it a local live music culture community and promotion center. To start, I will be hosting discussions about music related topics as well as interview and review the best of genre acts that we will be playing with and/or share a common thread. Ultimately, if it grows large enough, I have every intention of starting a whole new type of local entertainment hub, but the Spookie Jar accounts are all I have to start off with. You see, Spookie Jar may be strong by ourselves, but it also takes a village to help raise other talents to levels they need to be and we will be there to lend worthy talent a helping hand.

We are getting back into our practice routine and have been ferreting out possible shows to book in support of our upcoming CD release.

I (Ray) went to help Clint the drummer for Animation with "roadie" work at the Bricktown Brewery on 9/6/02 and WOW is all I can say about the sound they had there.

The reason I talk the guys from Animation up so much is because I jammed with Clint a long time ago  for like one session and also played in a band that was close to Animation. These guys have played the "scene" seemingly forever and if anyone has paid their "dues" it's definitely these guys.

A few weekends back, I accompanied the guys from Adam's Fault to White Rose Studio to lend an extra ear at the request of singer Rob Stone and they have some really exciting and energetic material I think will be a breath of fresh air to the Oklahoma live music scene when they get their act out on a more regular basis.

8/06/2002: Mick has been feverishly working with skilled precision mixing on our tracks and the CD will be on the way to post-production this week to Discmakers. We are lining out some more shows and we expect everyone and their friends and friend's friends to be there since we will have CDs to solicit and bug you, the almighty consumers, to purchase. I don't think we'll have to be doing alot of soliciting after hearing us on stage. If you come to our shows, you aren't leaving until you buy a CD-got it? I promise I will keep the gig alert section updated, however we have to get this CD finished and we are focusing everything on that for the time.

Get the new Animation CD! Go HERE for their website. I got mine just this weekend after catching my good ole friend Clint Lawson, drummer for Animation at the Samurai where Animation put on an energetic set of original tunes to a packed house. I spent $13.00 per bucket of beer and the only thing I have to show for it is a smaller bank account, headache and a pissed off wife. Please go out next time you hear these guys playing and shell out that measly $10.00 for something you can take home and jam to when you're hosting your next party or just to have the bragging rights of being the first guy on your block with this hot selling and well produced CD. I am very impressed at the draw power Animation has been exhibiting and their shows are growing in numbers by leaps and bounds since their new CD release. I've been bugging Clint to play a show with these guys sometime after we release our CD. I was driving home and listening to their new CD and I swear to God it was invoking hallucinations. As soon as our CD is finished, we're going to come and rock OKC's asses off. Then we are going to move on to the rest of the USA to take it by storm, audiences willing. We are not your regular run of the mill rock band...trust me I have played in many. The original tunes we play will have the ancient Gods in your subconscious controlling you like the good zombies you are front and center to party the night away and have the times of your lives. We even have small lulls and interludes in alot of our music so you can turn to your friend without shouting and tell them how much we rock. Just kidding. No really, we do rock.

I went out a couple of weekends ago to a bar and grill called Hot Rod's in Shawnee to see Adam's Fault and let me tell you if you haven't seen these guys, you are missing out on a very energetic show with catchy, hooky and driving original songs that had even myself singing the day afterwards. IF you ever catch Rob off-stage, buy him a shot and ask him about Lithuanian midgets. Dude, he will have you rolling on the floor laughing your guts out.   The Axolotls were the headliners for the show and they performed an impressive range of covers that I'm sure pleased every person in the crowd. I used to be in a band called Perfect Culture with lead guitarist Brad Loveland and I am so happy to see him out playing again. He can put on one crazy show by himself, so if you guys here of Axolotls playing anywhere, go check them out.

I want to personally thank and welcome every one of you out there who have been coming to the website and I will be adding a guest/flame-book and online account so you can purchase our debut Spookie Jar CD through our website. I was thinking about having one of our minions sit on here online to chat with anyone who stops by the website. She is a very poor conversationalist, but nonetheless, cheap entertainment to keep you busy in paradoxical conversation for hours. Keep checking back for our Spookie Jar Chat-Slave....

I also want to give a shout out to everyone who came to the show on the 4th of July at Roman Nose State Park. If you weren't there, you missed the time of your lives. We had more pyrotechnics than Metallica and Kiss combined! Let me put it this way- there was so much released sulfur from the fireworks that we actually made it rain for about 5 minutes without a cloud in the sky.  I have never seen that many people actually dancing to rock music and having as much fun than any other band I've played in. We're all about fun, good kick ass music and the crowd having an experience they will never forget. You ever see those "Captain Morgan" commercials on TV...y'know...it's not a bon-fire...unless you can see it from space...well we had "Captain Morgan" 4th of July....

7/1/2002- Despite a small freak storm that dumped on the Moose-Knuckle Productions Rock Fest 2002 just before the event started and a fun little "blow-job" with Kate's hair dryer afterwards, everything got back on track and the show went on.

Ridalin, The Pott. County Outlaws, Axolotls, and Adam's Fault all put on great performances in the face of all the technical difficulties that were eventually weeded out during the show thanks to some good, attentive troubleshooting and we want to thank Alan Wade for everything he did to try to ensure the event was a success. We all had a great time and hope that there will be an even bigger event next time. I (Ray) want to personally thank Scott Allen (Axolotls) for letting me play on his new DW drum set. It was awesome and we probably would not have sounded as good as I felt we did without it. Thanks, Scott.

6/17/2002-  We have a gig as if you didn't know! I posted all info on the "Gig Alert" section. IF you can, please come!

Our website was down due to a domain wide outage on Sunday, June 16, 2002 thanks to our corporate web host. I just had to take a break from work and the band stuff, so I went out to Teddy's last Saturday night and partook of some affordable suds, some good music as well as doing a little promotion for ourselves while meeting some very friendly and wonderful people. I was very frustrated at the fact that everyone I personally handed a card out to on Saturday night at Teddy's on my "thinking outside of the Jar" primer promotion were not able to pull up our site here on Sunday. It wasn't our fault, folks. S**t happens, but I'm sorry and I'll apologize for any inconvenience anyway. I forget names very easily, but I met a lot of other fellow "Teddy's virgins" who were there for their first time just as I was. Quarter longnecks from 9 to midnight on Saturday nights just rock! I'll pay a $5.00 cover to drink quarter beers any night! I know I will definitely go back again when I'm just looking to have some fun if I ever get this much idle time in between band projects again. I want to give a shout out to Animation as I had no idea they were playing at Teddy's the particular night we went. I (Ray) played in a couple of different bands that have opened up for Animation before in the past and it was a pleasant surprise to say the least to see Clint, Dave and Greg still rocking their asses off not to mention their newest member Matt. Clint, I still owe you a quarter...a quarter dollar that is...yeah.

6/13/2002- Well we are less than a month away before we send off to get our mastering done through Disc-Makers. We only have some small tweaking here and there as far a EQ-ing is concerned, so we will be have a finished product wrapped, bar-coded and ready to hit the music store shelves very soon. We are just watering at the mouth ready to hit the scene and jam with all the other awesome bands out in OKC right now.

I may have met some of you at the Asylum club on 6/8/2002 and I thank all of you whom I gave our card to for taking your time to put up with me and check out our website while I was out listening to the other great bands out now while doing a little "primer", name recognition promotion for Spookie Jar. I'm crazy and I'll do whatever it takes. I want to give a "shout out" to POPT, SPILL and Fear the Clown, who just returned from their gigs in L.A. If Fear the Clown did as great in L.A. from what singer Andrew told me, then why the hell aren't you people getting out and checking all these bands out before they hit it big? Who's been handing out all the "'ludes" on the weekends around here?  All of those guys put on a helluva show that night.

I checked out Adam's Fault to see what kind of project they were working on as Rob and I go way back to the Perfect Culture days when he was the singer for that band. They are perfecting their sound as they are breaking in their newest member and drummer Steve.

Spookie Jar will finally be playing a show opening for Adam's Fault at the 5th Annual Moose-Knuckle Productions Party on June 29th with Adam's Fault, Endgrain (sp?) and some of the Pott. County Outlaws purportedly gracing the stage with us some time that night.

5/3/2002- Sorry we haven't given you any 411 in awhile, but I have had many wonderful comments that our band stands out from others because we do the website ourselves, the recording ourselves and we're the epitome of a truly original and independent band. We have been shopping around for some different shows we want to play. We are a little selective of where and when we will play. We're not stuck up. We're just wanting everyone to have the best show possible that we can deliver under the most favorable circumstance. Is that so wrong? We won't settle for just any gig at any hole in the wall club-unless it's an outstanding club. We've all been there and done that and we don't want to do it again. After talking with Rob Stone of Adam's Fault, we agreed to play at the 5th Annual Moose Knuckle Productions party on June 29th somewhere outside of Shawnee. If you know what it is and where, then you are on the inside track and we look forward to seeing you there. If you would like more info, then please email me at fritzmusic@hotmail.com  and I will route info as it becomes available.

We're sill pounding away at our CD project and we are working as feverishly as ever on it. We have set a tentative deadline to have all mixing and recording completed in two months from now ready for post-production, pressing and packaging.

On Friday, 4/26/2002, I stopped in the Love's in Kingfisher and noticed something I haven't seen in years- Love's own deli sandwiches-not Subway! Don't get me wrong, I like Subway but if you have never had a Love's deli sandwich, then you do not know what you are missing! It was like seeing a long lost lover when the roast beef and cheddar was sitting in the refrigerated display case begging for a warm, churning acidic home in my tummy. After my purchase, I happened across four young men likely still in high school just pulling into the parking lot. I shot to my car to grab some Spookie Jar cards as I love to meet new people and let them know about us. I asked two of the guys if they are into music much. After they responded "yes", I proceeded to hand out our cards. After talking at some length with them, I discovered they are in a start-up band called Capital Punishment. I thought this was quite the interesting band name. They did allow that they do not have any recordings or a website yet but nonetheless, I appreciate when people don't try to B.S. me around and talk themselves up to be something they're not. At any rate I hope they visited the site and read about our chance happening and have a chuckle or two and I wish them the best of luck in their musical endeavor. It's nice to see the youth of Oklahoma proactive in music instead of other vices especially in the rural suburb of Kingfisher.

3/8/2002-Well here's the news....I know you guys are just panting for the CD to come out, so I figured you would like an update. We are still working on it. Do you ever feel like a higher power is working against you? In between wind damaged barns (from memorial day '01), ice storms, car wrecks, electrical outages, water well repairs, sickness, technical difficulties, day jobs, family obligations and deaths, we are still pushing on with the completion of our first CD.

All of us have experienced a higher incident rate of some sort of personal tragedy or setback since we have embarked upon creating this CD. It's almost tragically humorous that when you set your mind to complete something, it seems there are always 15 other distractive steps regeneratively put in front of your original objective before you can complete that one little task you simply WANT to do and the harder you work for your goals, the more steep the mountain becomes as well as the load you have to carry. I think anyone who lives a somewhat active lifestyle these days can relate. Please bear in mind that since we do not do music full time yet, and we are 100% independent upon all creative/productive/management aspects of the band, and unfortunately, quality takes time. Check out the OKC Gazette for the entry of our band's listing. We are approximately 95% finished with the CD recording and mixing process and we will keep you updated.

If anyone wants to see more content on our site of any nature, please feel free to email me at fritzmusic@hotmail.com and I will gladly upload some new sound clips, pictures, news, or whatever but I need your input and my inbox is feeling lonely!. I'm a better drummer than a web admin, so please let us know what you want to see! I want to thank those who have already sent emails of praise and condolences to us. Thank you for taking the time to give us a piece of your mind.

1/24/2002- It has come to my attention that some media aspects of our website have been inaccessible to some of our loyal fans and after investigating the problem I have found it to be a billing issue with our "Free" web host. We finally coughed up the expenses to pay for the FTP access to our website-no thanks to "FREE"servers. Everything was hunky-dory until our website got held for ransom until we paid up for freeserver's failed banner and popup advertising scheme. That's the price you pay to be a star I suppose. We have recorded our newest self-titled Spookie Jar song and so far, it's kickin' ass. We are still finalizing our mixes on our debut album-y'know the obligatory sound effects stuff, backup vocals, the subtle chimes of guitars in strategic pianissimo bridges and ambient noise. We have set no due date as this stuff is hard to meet a deadline when music is not your full time gig yet. Hopefully, people will buy the shit out of our album and release us from our cages so we can bring your ears some more harmonic bliss. Pretty soon, we will be booking gigs and I will then add a gig calendar to the website as we start booking. We're sure everyone will be very pleased and proud to say that they were with Spookie Jar from the beginning. We're still kickin'. If anybody would like to sign up in advance to get first dibs on our CD's hot off the press, please email me at fritzmusic@hotmail.com and I will put you on the list. Well that's all for now. Until next time....

11/2/2001: Updated the website with images and some audio samples. We will start the formal recording mechanisms on our Spookie Jar song. We are still mixing and finalizing material for our CD. We aren't going away anytime soon.

5/18/2001: We had a great practice last Wednesday. There were babies in the fields at night. They were screaming  for us not to play, but we played. They screamed all night. We can't help it that we're loud. What do they expect? Stupid babies. We all dipped in the "Jar" and partook until we were in a spiritual frenzy and blur of music and kinetic energy. Anyway, we are waiting to hear back from Tinker Air Force Base regarding the recent tests that a listener submitted to them to validate the originality of our CD as we applied to be in their Battle of the Bands. Today is supposedly the deadline and hopefully we will hear back from Tinker soon regarding our acceptance into the June 2, 2001 Summer Bash Battle of the Bands. Battle of the Bands are always great. We love to bring our big huge swords and ask all the bands in booming and intimidating  voices , "Who wants to battle us, mutha fu**as!" but they always run...except the ska guys but they're usually too stoned and think we're just playing around...until they lose their heads....literally.

11/4/2000: Due to mind-numbing limitations with analog equipment, the band has acquired the newest state of the art digital recoding system to continue on with the CD recording project. The learning curve on the new system may take awhile as we don't know what the hell we are doing. We have laid down three songs that have given us better results already than the best we could get with analog. They are still rough and may need to be re-recorded.

10/1/2000: Spookie Jar has commenced recording on a new CD. Due date is undetermined as we are still picking material to be on the CD.
